A beautiful portrait, Michael. Did you watch Painting the Holy Land by Lachlan Goudie? It was on Good Friday morning but I watched it on catch up. The second one is on Easter Sunday morning 9.00am.

Hello ellen, no im afraid i didnt see the show. I do not have a tv you see. I wonder if i can watch it online at some point. Alot of tv programs end up on YouTube dont they? Thankyou for your kind comment.

Christ means alot to me but im not really a Christian. I think of jesus as a brilliant philosopher, a genius in understanding the laws of nature and without doubt the greatest humanitarian of all time.

This takes nothing from him as a guiding force in our history. Belief in him brings peace and hope to millions. Personally i am a free thinker, but like i said i think of him and his works every day and it was an honour to try and express his great goodness in my painting.

Excuse me for uploading this again but i do think the final glaze has completed this picture of christ, enough for me to show it again and for the last time. It is dedicated to my mother and my grandfather primarily but also to my aunt who is a devout Catholic and a fine woman.
