Good to see you back Michael. I like this atmospheric painting.

Welcome back Michael with this beautiful painting. The complimentary colours work very well.

love it Michael very Turneresque.

Another good one, Michael. Great atmosphere, as usual, and a wonderfully eerie, even ominous presence. When you start to enjoy painting the world will be a richer place. Incidentally, many great poets were tortured by their own talent. Samuel Taylor Coleridge wrestled with his feelings all the time, to the point of distraction. He also fancied William Wordsworth's sister, Dorothy, something rotten. Unrequited love is a cruel reality. Brian

First glimpse of Castle Dracula - I like it (but am guilty of imposing my own interpretation on it, which doesn't do you due justice; sorry, I can be a sucker for the obvious comment).

Thankyou for the nice comments. Castle dracula is very appropriate i think. Im pleased this came to mind robert.

Splendid. Nice to see some more of your work. I particularly like the purples.

Could almost be a Turner! Sun coming through the fog on London's Embankment?

About the Artist
Michael Hanrahan

I love art but it's very much up and down as I go about my day to day life as a painter and often I really struggle to paint therefore I fall out with it. You're only as good as your last painting as they say. My greatest love is music and I prefer to write classical music for orchestra than paint…
