Cross in the hills (dedicated to the memory of caspar david friedrich)
i adore this german mans work. to me he was the german turner although he was quite a different artist so the comparison maybe inappropriate. the serenity of caspars work is so sublime and very moving. pictures of two young ladies sat on a rock watching the sunset. this is so simple yet extremely profound. im not sure if this painting by me is entirely finished. i think maybe id like to improve it in places. its an easter picture painted at christmas time which i think has a deepness even to that.
