Whoever she is, she is very beautiful - a mesmerising portrait Michael

I agree with Heather that it's a striking portrait - sorry that it doesn't look like your subject, but you've produced a good painting from her inspiration. That "getting a likeness" thing IS extremely difficult - and I don't find that breaking it down to individual features helps at all, because it's how they're all bound together that gives the impression of the person, and that's a more holistic consideration. Keep at it, though, Michael - it'll all come together one day, if you just keep on painting portraits: it takes work, and you're clearly no slouch on that front.

'Likeness' is obviously an important facet when painting someone's portrait and it's extremely frustrating if you don't quite 'get it' as I can certainly attest to, but you've produced a beautiful painting nevertheless.

This is a super portrait Michael.

A captivating portrait Michael.

Absolutely beautiful, the subject and the painting.
