Glorious Michael, your colour palettes are always so good

I had a friend, sadly no longer alive, who would have loved your work because he particularly valued the glow that Rembrandt, in particular, could get with oil paint; he liked to explore the earth colours in particular; he favoured classical scenes, ruined buildings, subdued, desaturated light. I see his approach in your work - he died long enough ago that you might be his second incarnation! If I believed in reincarnation, anyway....
