There's just a little too much pen in this for me but I still like its freshness. Great greens and a lovely lively sky.

Interesting piece, I love the various angles that the buildings been positioned. I called the irregular in the regular triangle...

I love this, Mia! I like the way you streaked hte sky, and the way you made a very quintessential Italian scene fresh and very much your own.

A lovely scene portrayed beautifully. I agree with Seok and Eddy - the sky and little houses are super.

Ah Mia - another fabulous work. So clean and crisp. So glad you have returned to what you clearly do so well and I do envy your talent. As for Dianas comment - I hate to be rude, but she clearly has no idea what great pen and wash looks like. For the record Diana - it looks like this!

A charming vista, and I like the strength of colour you have used particularly in the sky which is super.

I like this one Mia its got a lovely bright look to it, a happy painting.

Great composition Mia and love the sky.

Lovely airy and light painting. Fantastic feeling of the village really being high and on a hilltop. Great sky and, as usual, economic and excellent use of the pen.

Thank you all so very, very much for taking the time to have a look at my work and post a comment. I am so pleased that you think it is ok and I appreciate very much!!!!

Mia this is lovely. It reminds me of mine but mine was in France! Jx

Thank you very much, Jean, I appreciate!

Mia, did you realise that this painting was chosen for February's Top Ten most viewed on the gallery? I thought POL had stopped doing this list as I couldn't find the link, but it is on the forum front page (?) under Top Ten Forums. Quite shocked when I found two of mine in the list - a real surprise. Anyway, many congrats for your painting being chosen - richly deserved as it is a beautiful work.

So very well done Mia for being in the top 10! It is such a splendid rendition of Provence!

Huge congratulations on making the Top Ten, Mia! You certainly deserve to be on every month!

Thank you Thea, Béatrice and Seok for your congratulations. I had a look earlier this morning before leaving on a day-trip and February wasn't on the web yet. So coming home and seeing your comments was a real surprise. Double congrats to you Thea!!

Lovely to see you work in the top ten, congratulations!

Thank you for your congratulations and also my congratulations to you for being in the top ten too. Now I feel that we all have to work a bit harder. Best regards.

Thanks Lesley and Ping. Yes, this is just a step in our evolution. Trying to get better and better is what we have to do. You can never say: "I arrived", there is always a step further and better....

Congrats on the top ten too. And thanks for your kind message; a bit long in replying - just spent a week in hospital! Happy painting.

Sorry to hear that you have been in hospital, Avril. I hope everything is well with you now! Thanks for your congratulations. I didn't expect to be in the top ten ever! I am glad that so many people look at my work and maybe like it!
