I am so pleased that you are recovering. I recognised this as yours straight away. I look forward to seeing some more. All the best.

Well there's a spooky thing. Only two days ago while browsing the gallery I was thinking I haven't seen anything from you for some time. I didn't know you were incapacitated. So glad you are recovering - and glad to see your delicate pen and washes being posted again. great to have you back.

Hello Mia - how lovely to see you posting on the gallery again. I do hope your back is much better and I look forward to seeing all your new work. This is a beautiful pen and wash - so elegant and perfect and a joy to behold.

Beautiful image Mia, as Thea says : so elegant. Love the fading blue wash in the background. Hope you'll be back to painting again soon.

Well, that's a lovely painting, and very pleased to see you back amongst us. I know you've been through it over the last year - as a fellow sufferer, you have my sympathy: I've avoided a back operation so far, and hope to continue to do so. But I have to sit down to paint, which I hate to do. Anyway, looking forward to seeing your further work.

Hello Mia! So good to have you back with that beautifully drawn cutting. So delicate and fragile. Hope that your back will get better soon.

Thank you very much Gudrun, Tony, Thea, Sharon, Robert and Satu. I do appreciate this very much. Robert, it turned out to be an emergency operation because the nerves to my legs ware almost completely trapped and blocked due to athrosis on the vertebrae. So, the surgeon had to take parts of 3 vertebrae away to give room to the nerves. Instantly the pain in my back and legs was gone. I just have to recover from the operation (wound of 10cm long!). For the moment I am wearing a heavy corset and am not allowed to bend over or even take it of. I feel like a 19th century lady!!! all in corsets!!!!

Mia, so pleased you are on the mend and free of the dreadful pain you must have been experiencing! This is one of your real beauties, my favourite tree. The leaf forms are so unique also it is prehistoric. The green/yellow glows beautifully.

So happy to see one of your delicate paintings again. I hope you'll soon be freed and totally recovered so you can get back to a normal life. I look foreward to seeing your works.

Interesting isn't it Mia, that we don't see an artist's work for some time, an image appears on the site and we know immediately who's it is! I knew this was yours as soon as I saw it. Nice to see your intricate pen and wash work again!

I echo everything that has been said Mia, beautiful artwork and I hope you are freed from the confines of your corsets very soon.

Like Louise I instantly recognised your beautiful pen work Mia. Lovely to see you posting again and I wish you a speedy recovery.

I, too, have really missed you, Mia. So glad to see you back on P-on-L. Exquisite line and wash painting - look forward to many more. In the meantime, please take care of yourself and recover quickly.

stunning colours and details in this Ginko branch Mia and super to read that you are on the mend

Thank you all so very much for your lovely comments. Reading that you missed my work!!!!! What a boost for my ego.... I will try to respons to your expectations (fingers crossed), maybe in a few months. :)

It's lovely to have you back, Mia! And you're returning with a bang! What a gorgeous piece - beautifully composed, drawn and tinted. I wish you a full and uneventful recovery and look forward to seeing more of your work again.

Thank you very much, Seok. Your positieve comments are always highly appreciated.

Lovely artwork so fresh. I wish you a speedy recovery

Thank you very much Glennis.

Beautiful as are they all. Speedy recovery Mia.

Thanks Denise. My back is getting better and better. I just have to train again the muscles in my legs because I had to rest as much as possible after the operation. But there is light at the end of the tunnel!!!

Hello again. This is my last pen and wash, January 2013. Since then, I had to have a back operation and I am still recovering. I thank all of you for your best wishes for my recovery. Although I didn't paint during that year, I followed you all on the POL-site. I made some quick ink drawings and I will post them in the coming days. All the best :) Mia
