Really like the colour and composition of this one Mia.

love this one of the fungi mia interesting to paint arnt they

Simple image Mia yet extremely effective! I can't say that I'm a fan of fungi apart from the edible variety but I like these! Just enough colour here and not overworked. Well done! Also, the image on my screen is sharp.

Simple and beautiful !

Delightfully simple but effective painting. I love the way you use the touch of colour to bring the fungi into sharp focus. Elegant work.

Beautifully observed and painted. Lovely cap colours and shapes.

I love fungi too Mia, they make a brilliant subject. This one of yours is beautiful, love the sweep of fungi flowing down the page on the understated bark.

Thank you very much, Debs, Margaret, Louise, Denise, Thea, Avril and Carole, your comments are highly appreciated! :) Mia

Something different - I like very much

I am very grateful for your lovely comment, Rayne. Are you new to the POL-website? What is the name of your gallery, so I can have a look at it?

Superb drawing and subject, really eye catching!

Thanks, Lesley, for your positive comment. I appreciate!

This is delightful. Mia! Love the composition, and like all your paintings - it looks simple at first glance but there's so much to hold the viewer's interest.

Thank you very much, Seok.

Hi Mia. We had a wonderful time in Veurne! We were lucky with the weather, cold but no rain on Saturday or Sunday. We visited St Sixtus for lunch . I bought my final Christmas gifts - some chocolates and chocolate geneva. We also brought home a good selection of your Belgian beers (not from St Sixtus this time) We have been invited to the celebrations of a 25 wedding anniversary in October, but I know we will return before then. Have a very happy Christmas. Helen ([email protected])

Because the first posting was not sharp, I deleted it and reposted this pen and wash of one of my favourite subjects: fungi growing on trees.
