This is a partly imaginary scene painted using sketches of the Irish landscape as a starting point. While I always get my inspiration from the Irish landscape I do like to experiment with colour and texture and let the painting dictate the next move as it progresses. This textured scene was painted using twigs, cloths, scrapers, plastic knives and pallet knives as well as brushes. The dimensions of the painting are H25xW30xD1.5cm.
