This is my interpretation of a scene near where I grew up in Co.Wexford in the south east of Ireland. It is a scene I paint often as it is always changing and always holds my interest. While I always get my inspiration from the Irish landscape I do like to experiment with colour and texture and let the painting dictate the next move as it progresses. This textured scene was painted using rollers, twigs, cloths, scrapers, plastic knives and pallet knives as well as brushes.
