This is so effective Martina. You really have a great eye for colour. The shapes and colours in the foreground remind me of a Gustav Klimt painting. Super!

I used a sketch from my sketchbook of a scene near where I grew up in Co.Wexford in the south east of Ireland as a starting point for this painting. I painted it using scrapers, cloths, plastic knives and pallet knives as well as brushes, applied layer upon layer of paint and then worked back into the surface to create texture.
