A good start Patricia, but I would not say it was loose. But that is not a criticism. It's a good sketch.

Thanks John. To be honest after the stuff I have been doing lately I know it takes a bit of time to fully loosen up and stop being a "bloomin' perfectionist" even with the sketchier works.

Recently I've worked on a number of portraits and started a series of watercolours all which have been quite precise and tight. So I decided to have a play and do something loose and fun. For the past 8 years I've worked as a polo pony groom so the subject is one very close to my heart. I took the reference photo during our club's (Toulston Polo Club) main summer tournament last year.
