i bow my head as this sunflowerdoes to acknowledge the master at sunflowers. Please could you tell me what mixed media you are using. you have beautifully caught the rough texture of the petals.

Hi Helen Thank you for taking the time to critique my work. I put my work in the category of mixed media as it doesn't sit perfectly anywhere. I create a surface on canvas which includes textures such as papers (various), fabrics (various) and anything else that describes the subject I am about to recreate. I then paint on that surface using Acrylic paint. These images and most of my work for that matter is very tactile. I hope that helps you. Regards May Jones p.s.
