Cathedral by Maureen Taylor
My Cathedral was created from a Mozart manuscript, pressed to a canvas, which revealed architectural shapes, lending themselves to the golds, bronzes and coppers in the dips and rises. The stained glass window came to life from a technique of drying acrylic paint onto glass and applying, which I thought was appropriate. I love the shapes and unusually I worked continually through day and night until it was completed, as it could not be left unfinished. Thank you for your time and hope I have cheered your day.
