Lovely pastel of Buddy Mathew, you have really caught the fur well, i am finding pastels tricky but i have not tried conte hard pastels, are they the soft chalk like type? or more like the oil pastel sticks that dont have sharp points so diffcult to portray fur

Thanks for all your encouraging comments. Conte pastels are more like soft chalk pastels.. but harder, if you know what I mean Ros. Oil pastels are horrible and sticky by comparison, i just don't get on with them. Give them a try.
