Ham House from the kitchen garden
Painted this morning (25 oct 14) in pleasantly mild weather for the time of year, and with the sun coming through from time to time, this shows the National Trust house at Ham, from the kitchen garden. Painted for the first time on Saunders 'High White' quarter imperial Not paper; I enjoyed the extra whiteness here, using it for the sunlit stone string courses and window frames on the south face of the building. Painted as usual using transparent colours, no white, and minimal drawing.
