this pen and wash sketch was done on the 16th August on Weston Green, Esher. I went straight in with an indelible pen and added the wash afterwards this time - sometimes I do it the other way around and sometimes I use a water soluble pen.

Matthew Sewell
Watercolourist since the 90's, and have just taken up oils a couple of years ago. I regularly paint en plein air with a local group called the Artful Dodgers, and aim to paint at least twice a week now I'm heading for retirement.
