Matthew, this reminds me of something similar I did, as a bit of fun and also trying to create an abstract, which is more difficult than it appears! I printed out one of my still lifes, cut it up and reassembled it, painting it between the shapes. Is this what you did? I was quite pleased with the result ( though I only ever did one more ). Yours has worked out very well, I can see that yours is all painted, not collaged.
