I'm guessing you've not been painting long, but keep going - there are some nice touches in this, the transparent water, the bright, fresh colour, the sense of shape and of place, and the fact that once you've laid down a wash, you don't go back in and fiddle with it.

This is the bay just north of the Tyne mouth, where Winslow Homer painted fishermen and their wives in the 1880s. A beautiful piece of coastline I hope to revisit soon.
