A great city, York, with some fascinating places hidden within it. I like the sweep and energy of your painting.

St Martin-Cum-Gregory was first mentioned in the Domesday Book and later in 1175. Much of the current building is fourteenth and fifteenth century, but the rather elegant brick tower dates from 1844. The church is no longer used for services but there are plans to open it as a centre for stained glass. The church is set back from the road on Micklegate and hidden by mature trees, but dive down a little side alley and you get this view back of this intriguing church and its brick tower. Mixed media on paper. 14.5" x 10.5"
