This is a wildly experimental piece. I started with a stretched piece of watercolour paper, I added collage and built up layers of watercolour. I drew back into the harbour wall with watercolour sticks. The inspiration for this image came from a sketchbook drawing I did in Saundersfoot, Wales. I wanted to show the harbour with boats and the sparkle of the sun on the water.
