I have such trouble with pastel! I do like the way it's used here though - right down to the dip in the bank to the road surface, indicated by the shadows.

Thank you Robert for your kind comments. I enjoy using pastel because I like drawing, but have only recently started using acrylic underneath in an attempt to give vibrancy to my work. The support is mount board with a coat of gesso.
