Eye catching tones within your drawing, Mark. I like the detail, the positioning of the shearers foot, nice. Your acrylic painting - I can almost feel the ache in the back muscle.

Hi Sian . I am from New Zealand growing up between the country and city living. I grew up attending the odd sheep shearing contests in a place called Masterton. The smells of the sweat and lanolin. The controlled aggression and physical exertion on both human and animal, the figurative drawing component that is foreshortening line tonal work, and trying to be loose is what I find interesting to portray in this series. I have never shorn sheep - but thanks for looking
