Halnacker Windmill, West Sussex

Your trek in the heat was worth it Mark. Fine watercolour; I like the composifion and your palette. The ‘sails’ are well done and the surrounding countryside is excellent.

Like it a lot Mark

Well done. A great painting and the sails are superb.

I admire the effort you went to to capture this scene. I love the composition and the painting of it. Up there with the best

Certainly an "eye catcher" and I like the colour range

Thank you Michael, Heather, Christine, Diana and Mike for all your lovely comments. Such a delight to have my washes dry so fast. Thinking of coming up here at dawn when it is misty.

Lovely watercolour - love your marks.

Beautiful, Mark.

Hang on Studio Wall

Watercolour plein air of Halnaker Windmill in West Sussex. Painted on Millford paper with Daniel Smith watercolours. About a mile trek uphill to get to this beautiful spot through an ancient sunken path tunnelled through trees. Very hot day and just managed to squeeze into some shade.
