Dry Yachts on Ile de Ré

You have done a great job with this scene Mark just the right amount of detail in the background and middle distance with great mark making to suggest detail on the foreground boat. Definitely my kind of painting.

Thanks Barry, it’s my kind of painting too, my fave to date.

A superb watercolour. The limited palette and the strong light catch our attention.

great

I painted here last year plein air. It is an amazing find a little creek with yachts thrown randomly by the receding tide. I worked in my studio on this painting 70 x 25cm using my plein air moleskine paintings and video that I filmed. Painted on Milford paper using Daniel Smith paints.
