Pisa Bar, Italy

Love the way you’ve connected the inside with the outside and the clever way you have painted people without too many details. Only a tentative suggestion but I may be wrong:- cropping the foreground slightly could achieve better balance.

Loose, free and colourful.

Lovely light and the effortless way in which the outside and inside are merged with suggestion of palette

Love this super watercolour Mark!

Those were the days …!

Love the contrast between the sunny exterior and the cool bar room. I think this is very well painted, reminds me a little of Castanet's bold work.

Beautiful painting, love the reflections on the tops of the tables.

Lovely contrasts in this, Mark, like Stephen, it reminds me of the work of Castanet!

Particularly like the light on the tables Mark and the people looks as if they are enjoying a relaxing drink which gives it a narrative.

Thank you for all the comments. I think I will crop this. I left the last table out as it was not reflecting and showed up as the red table cloth beneath the glass. Too much! We were sitting here drinking coffee and eating ice creams.

Super exemplar of the medium. Fabulous painting

Great atmosphere, and painting, Mark

Amazing work, Mark.

Nice wirk! reminds ne if Alvaro Castagnet

Great contrasts throughout this piece, Mark, and a wonderful atmosphere. I'd have been a regular visitor to your excellent bar/café. Bri

I'd leave it just as it is Mark. It's a super painting and I like the long format and the touch of cobalt blue, bottom left.
