Gorgeous work, absolutely splendid painting.

That's really attractive work Mark. Spring light rather than full summer, yet bright with promise. A fine painting with great distance and perspective. Lovely. .

Brilliant painting, Mark.

Wonderful painting Mark

Remarkably good

Fantastic work, Mark. Remarkable detail and distance. I wouldn't dare to offer critique on this beautiful watercolour. The first guy on the stepped lane looks like he's stopped for a breather and has just noticed that he's being observed. This gives us an artist's eye view. I know how he feels because I could look at this all day long. Brian

All round wonderful!

The way you 've portrayed the light is superb, almost bleaching out the colours. Wonderful painting Mark.

Thank you all for the comments. Marjorie, I do the mist by putting down watercolour stronger than needed and dab off the bottom part sometimes adding clean water to wash away the colour. The surface has to be dry to damp to get the sharp top part. No bleach, I did try it once but it damaged the paper.

Wonderfully portrayed. It brings it all back.

I recognised this straight away Mark. Excellent work

Superb painting! Great luminosity and perspective!

Amazing painting. How on earth do you manipulate watercolour like that?!

Super work Mark, I remember looking down that pathway when visiting Prague some years ago, a nice reminder.

Looking down the castle steps towards Charles Bridge. A spring day in Prague. Painted on Saunders waterford paper using Daniel Smith watercolour paints.
