Wonderful - a lovely place - and wow, coming back after a few years, well done!

A great painting, Marjorie. Love the excellently painted water.

Thanks Heather and Mia. I was finishing off the paint before I cleaned my palette( hate wasting it) and I had blue, white, Payne's grey and y ochre... Seemed to fit the bill....now I will clean that palette.

Love this, it’s very peaceful.

Fabulous, Marjorie, you do water beautifully and I particularly like the way you've painted light in the background - terrific.

Beautifully painted Marjorie.

Beautiful water and reflections Marjorie.

Gorgeous lights and deep shadows Marjorie, a winning combination. I agree with Willie about the water, you have a gift.

Super Marjorie! Your water really looks wet and I’m glad to see a little Fiat in the background.

Such great water and reflections. Well done.

Love the softness and the reflections.

Thank you for all the comments Ellen, Willie, Denise, Sandra, Fiona, Linda, Christine and Diane. That place is a lovely memory, hope we can all travel safely again soon.

Are you really in Portofino Michael? And it's much easier in oil as you know.

Beautifully painted... always worth revisiting paintings!

Yes,Thalia, at the time we were satisfied ( or fed up) and later, freed from angst, we can change things.

Oil on a black canvas. Added a bit more liveliness overall to a painting I did a couple of years ago. " Standing back" can mean a while, in this case.
