I really like this ,such vibrant colour I would never have believed coloured pencils could produce such a painting .

Thanks William. Yes I wasn't quite sure either - and it was one of those paintings where I felt the excitement, while I was painting, that I might actually achieve the effect I wanted.

You have achieved a lovely, vibrant and colourful painting here. The neocolour underpainting info is good to know. thank you for showing.

Positively glowing, I love this. So well done.

Beautiful vibrant colour, lovely image

I agree with all the above! They're stunning.

Terrific work, Marion. I shall try out your method of underpainting.

Stunning work!

Poppy medley, 30x30cm coloured pencil on sanded card. I did and an underpainting using neocolour watercolour crayons. Initially I was going to use oil pastels but when the underpainting was finished it just called out to be done in coloured pencils. I was also interested to see if I could capture the light using the pencils as it really isn't my medium. There is a step by step demonstration of my painting process on my blog. http://artofflowers.blogspot.com/
