I so love experimenting with splashy watercolour backgrounds & this painting developed into one of my all time faves. Once again I combined the blend & bleed principle that watercolour gives any background before switching to oils to obtain the detail I needed for the little girl & pet duck foreground. I think it really worked well in achieving the pure emotion she has for her pet. Cuddle Duck is an online tutorial within my mazartacademy.com
