The Shires

Lovely painting and amazing colour choice. Difficult to pick bits out but for me the big tree, the farmer behind the horses and of course the Shires are particularly good.

Very good posts today, Margo. I particularly like this one, a very lively and different rendering of a traditional scene.

Thanks for your comments so very kind, The Shires were done with Gouache then ink splashed and dribbled washed off and dried then mettallic gold outlining the Horses, this is a very hit and miss process but I love the randomness of where colours and patterns settle.
