Sarah, thank you for your comment. I have spoilt a lot of pictures by trying to fill in blank spaces and find it less traumatic to leave them alone.

I used to have a small printing business, (with my faithfull Adana) and I have just found a quantity of Conqueror 100gsm laid white paper A4 size. This was painted without stretching the paper although it had to be flattened a bit afterwards. The colours seem to have come out more intense and the laid lines have provided a nice texture. With great difficulty I have managed to stretch a sheet so will try this next.
