I think you have achieved what you set out to do Margaret, I really like the way you have portrayed the mountains, real strength of the rock coming through, fronted by those great trees, the reflections are spot on, I just think it's a great painting of my favourite subjects, mountains.

In this painting I've experimented with several techniques I don't usually use in an effort to convey the cold, the sharpness and magnificence of the mountains, and the thawing lake, including using old plastic business cards to scrape layers of paint across the surface, as well as an old rag to scumble semi-dry paint.
