Were you a sailor? I'm useless cannot sail to well - only has to be a slight swell and I'm seasick. Painting at the moment, then I shall be seed sowing. Love the hair in this one. Thanks Jeannette! Still can't get to your website, will keep trying! I used to sail all the time in my youth - think I could sail before I could walk- we always had at least one boat, sometimes two or three, my father had a boat building business in darkest, landlocked Zimbabwe (Rhodesia then).Re the painting, not well! I can't find a style and seem to be floundering. HELP!!Also having found all these great sites on the web I spend all my time on the computer!

Thankyou for your comments. I have trouble using pastels. I like your delicate work in that medium. I like using charcoal and soft pencls especially when outdoor drawing. Keeps me loose although I try and be more preciose, but doesn't work! Just spent three days touring dartmoor in Devon. Did drawings; views and weather fantastic!
