Lovely warm colours, you have a wonderfully sensitive touch with watercolours.

Beautiful painting - the eye is gently led round the roofs to the cathedral

Having just commented on the botanical paintings, I now find a completely different, but equally lovely, set of town & landscapes. Obviously, you've completely mastered the most difficulit medium of all - in my humble opinion - watercolour. I'm lost in admiration.

It would be a real education to watch you at work, since I can't begin to imagine how you produce this sort of image, even though you've done your best to explain your approach - if I were to try following you, I'd simply end up with a ghastly mess - I presume you must start with very pale washes, but how, I wonder, did you come upon this technique?

Another wonderfully atmospheric and evocative painting.
