I am afraid I don't understand the need for the collage. The painting itself doesn't need it - it's well executed and in a very attractive style. The collage simply acts as a distraction. Sorry!

Thanks Alan, Carole, Cesare, Michael and Fiona for your positive comments. Trevor my recent painting have moved into more semi abstraction from more representation work, which I'm quite happy with at the moment but this may change in the future. I sold the two other paintings on this site using this method last weekend at the Staithes Art Festival.
