Your style is so distinctive, Malcolm, and I really like your work because it is different. How do you achived the textured feel in the background? Is it cling film? And do you put your colours on in a prelimary wash then start with the detail?

Thanks for your comments. I used tissue paper and wallpaper paste on this one and I do start with a random overall wash before addng the drawing then painting the detal.

I love the 'ghostly' quality of some of your paintings! I wonder if you have thought of fading out the edges to add to that quality.
