I love to see people's sketch books, they can sometimes be more interesting than a painting done from them. I think it's the scribbley feel to them. Smashing.

Thank you for that Fiona, I think of sketch books as memory banks, especially my travel ones because they are often spontainious snapshots in time.

Another from my travel diary, at the top of the page was a very quick sketch of the cloud swamping the mountain tops at thead of the valley that morning as seen from my room. The castle sketch was again a fairly quick one done while I was having a coffee down a small side street in the town of Feldkirch.
