I wouldn't worry about the opinion of a professor who sees value only in abstracts, and the opinion of your 7 year old son is far more worth having than that of a tutor with a closed mind. Carry on doing what you're doing - you're good at it.

As Robert says (and he is one to be listened to) "carry on"....I like this, it has clarity of line and tonal beauty, with considerable sensitivity. This is beautiful.

Hitchcock comes to mind when i see this painting, you have given this painting a stunning sense of eeriness. Just love it. Well done.

This was obviously painted last year and only found this by chance of looking into your own gallery your painting of silver birch trees is wonderful. this gives me the feeling that it winter and the birds are on the lookout for food great work James
