Well I am not seven,i am seventy but I like it a lot,Bob.

Really beautiful, almost monochrome very striking.

Wonderful scene.

Lovely image James, good composition with the stream taking the viewer into the seen and around the well painted birch trees. The pale tones of the distant trees, gives depth to this winter scene.

Gorgeous watercolour James!

A very striking painting James beautiful contrasts.

You certainly can paint birch trees, James! I love the palette with the warm browns taking the cold atmosphere up by a degree or so. Great washes. Perfect perspective. I wish I could do that!!!

Your Birch trees are brilliant, the Birch is my favourite tree, in England the old country name for them is the 'Ladies of the forest' . Your paintings really capture the spirit of them and this painting is all I like winter, snow and the Birch tree. I really like the colour on the bark and the same on the patch of snow and in the river so little does so much, great painting James, what do professors know anyway :)))

Very impressive, love the sharp contrast. Would be happy with this on my wall.<br />
