I suspect that your painting is better than it looks here, as the paper looks quite dark.

thanks Jim. I did enjoy tramping this area in my "younger " days. This is from photos I took around two years ago. Taking photos is a very good excuse for taking a breather. - I took hundreds!. This photo was taken at night Linda which might go some way to explaining the darker presentation.. Certainly the mount board is white to use as a comparison. This is predominantly wet into wet and I painted it many times in my head before starting on it.

A popular "walk" in the National park up there on the volcanic plateau. Get dropped off at one end and picked up at the other. At this particular time , the walk was closed in part because of volcanic activity so people were walking part way and then returning. I had a head start on my party for the return journey !!!.
