I love it Lynne, I have walked over this bridge many times when I lived near Nottingham. I prefer paintings that are like this and not photographic.

Love the reflections, a super painting.

Never mind the perspective look at that colour!

Lovely free watercolour.

Perspectives...HA! From someone who certainly can't get the hang of perspectives, (me) I think it looks fabulous Lynne. Who's looking at them when there are all those great washes and colours to look at!

Wonderful painting Lynne, great watercolour.

Not at all easy subject Lynne, rooftops, bridge, arches and far bank of the river, but this is a good attempt. Keep at it, as I feel it is very important with this type of subject. Colours, washes and tones ar all working well.

The painting works Lynne, the colours are wonderful.

Lovely work Lynne nice composition and great reflections and colour.

Such rich deep colors throughout. Very strong values, lush and lovely! I agree with all the other comments, the richness and excitement in the reflections is so yummy! Keep that as your focus....perhaps what happens up top does not need to be so detailed - the focal is the bridge and under it, behind it, and the reflections as you so boldly are expressing (and so well!).

Of course you will Lynne, perspective doesn't always have to be accurate to produce an expressive and creative work, and that is what you have done here.

Thank you so much everyone - I am always so encouraged that people take the time to comment x

Lovely piece, Lynne. Loads of spontaneity and looseness, with accents in all the right places.
