Thank you Rebecca. This picture was done with a very cheap set, (Pental; £5.50 for a set of 50), as i was trying them out; but since then i am using Sennelier and they are amazing - well worth the money! They are just like oils in a stick.

Now this could seriously tempt me to use oil pastels. Not only is it a great pose (thank your photographer), but the colours and textures are really great. Just out of interest; are you using canvas or paper?
