Thank you, Tessa. Initially I wasn't sure how to treat the background, so a kind of misty woodland seemed appropriate.

This is a bit of a different sort of painting for me. I used to paint birds quite a bit ,but then started focusing on different collections and decided to paint Magpies for a bit of a break. In oil on a 30 inch square canvas.
