Love all of your Still Life Louisa. They are a favourite topic of mine and I, too, have favourite objects which I use over and over again. The interest often lies in the viewing angle and yours certainly show this.

I saw the light and shadow on the wooden table and thought that would add more interest to the painting. However, by the time I went in the kitchen to cut the tomatoes and the bread the light changed, so I had to keep waiting! I used a knife to apply thicker paint to the bread to build up a crust, but it probably isn't as clear on a photo.
