I sketched this painting en plein air using colour pencils, then finished the painting in my studio with gouache paint. This is a view of the Lake Garda in Riva Italy, which is a small town at the top of the lake close to the mountains. Its lovely to experience the strong light and bright colours of the Mediterranean.
