A wonderful portrait of a working fisherman. Love the details and the shadows and the folds in the fabric of his shirt.

Thanks everyone. This was painted as a direct watercolour, and also as a tribute to my Scottish ancestors who lived and worked in the fishing community of Panbride.

This was painted as an exercise in direct watercolour. It was inspired by some family history research which revealed that my x great grandfather ran a boat in Panbride, Scotland. This was very much a fishing community.
