Luncheon
Decided to break from my latest CP work and get out the watercolours. This was an experiment and very different for me but it does us good to have a change from time to time. I've even tried a loose & lively style and a limited palette. They say change is good as a rest. I quite enjoyed it. I also changed format as ref was originally portrait. I wanted to give the feeling of being inside there, looking on from another table. Hahnemule is quite a 'fluffy' paper and doesn't work well with masking fluid. Also you can load on lots of water and it sits on top and dries slowly. Something else unusual for me is to use such wet washes and dilute colour. 'Luncheon' Hahnemule, Anniversary internally sized paper 200lbs/425 gsm 12.5" x 9.5" watercolours
