I couldnt' resist this fellow but decided I really didn't have time to do a full blown pure CP so I mixed it up a bit. It still ended up taking me over 6 hours! I used watercolour for the background and then part of the underpainting as a key. Then I used Coloured pencil on the lion. Finally I used watercolour pencils , on a slightly dampened are to get the grasses in.
