You have managed this very well Buu. I agree that watercolour can be hard to manage and I also love acrylics but I use the Golden Open acrylics as I can blend these more.

Thank you @Adele. This was for my class assignment.

Just lovely Buu. Well done.

A very good exercise Buu and you've managed to get plenty of form in the various containers.

Thank you Frank and Henry. It was a bit of a struggle but won't stop me from trying again. 😀

Graphite and Ink Wash on Watercolor Paper. 22 x 30". Last week in class, we got an intro to ink wash. This was my first time with this medium. It is a bit like working with watercolor, which I find a bit unmanageable. The ink wash was challenging in that you layer up from light to dark, and once you go dark, there is no going back. Also like watercolor, you do not have a lot of control over how or where the water goes (unless you are an expert, of course! :)). That is what I like about acrylic. If you make a mistake, you just need to wait for it to dry and you can paint over it light or dark. It also stays where you put it as long as you do not water it down too much. I definitely need more practice with this medium, but considering all the ways that this could have gone catastropically wrong, I am okay with the results. Did I mention that this was larger than our usual size? :)
